Fermi Paradox (Part 5) - We are the 'aliens'
This is great answer to the Fermi Paradox, that aliens from distant galaxies and even our own Milky Way, are like us, we are their offspring, part of a population program to create life throughout the universe. So if we encounter other lifeforms at some-point, they will look like us - humanoid, but technologically vastly more advanced. In the meantime they have moved on, setting up new worlds of human expansion. That we maybe residing within a large portion of our galaxy that has been set aside for us, hence our inability to contact or receive other communication from extraterrestrials. We are the spawned 'aliens' (albeit primitive) and at some-point our creators will return to check on us.
From TIME Magazine (2012):
*Reminds me of the creative genius of Frank Herbert's "Dune" (1968) in which humanity after 20,000+ years evolves to populate the universe and thus we are the 'aliens' with all the complexity, issues and problems that humanity has now.
