Vera Wang has a unique ability, where she is able to not only soften her collections, but also offers a degree of candidness to her gothic inspired arrays.  Which shows no less than a mastery, which I have been impressed with since reviewing her shows.  As there appears to be an ease within Wang's sophistication of creating a stripped down, flowing intimate look, while showing the viewer the work and time that she puts into each of her collections, which holds an artisan precision.

One of the leading trends of 2019 and the last Fall 2020 fashion shows before the global pandemic of Covid-19 hit like a freight train, was the sheer and tulle styles of lingerie as an outwear.  It is hard to know what the trend would have manifested into as far as an evolving look, yet many designers, like Wang, in showcasing this exciting aesthetic have integrated it into a new dynamic for their future collections.  Of course it won't be fully known what will emerge out of fashion after this pandemic, which, if the world and our society ends up being a different place to what we are familiar with.  It will be something no one can fully visualize at this point in time – so then maybe we can remain lay back in our social isolation cues in these current lockdowns, which could in fact invigorate the more intimate and sheer styles.  As one abides by the socially distancing norm in their apartment or house, only going out for the allowed shopping routine, arriving home and later in the evening, closing the curtains, dimming the lights.  Fixing one self either a Cosmopolitan cocktail or a Manhattan, either way, putting on some dark Jazz, slipping into a stylized array of your favorite outfits and enjoying your time; as the last man or woman on Earth.  With no thoughts of tomorrow.

A sultry, dark and elicit affair, Wang's Fall 2020 collection pre the viral outbreak, holds a haunting, yet alluring summoning of possibilities.  Wang has incorporated reds, dulled yellows and purples into her latest collection, which is moving away from her traditional all Stygian outfits and as mentioned, she has the ability to offer both a subtle and blunt appeal to her styles.  Visible thigh high stockings, see through slip dresses that drape in a nonchalant way, the delicateness of Wang's Fall collection gives way to a simmering desire, with a hint of S&M leathers as accessories, seen as chest harnesses and half sleeve gloves.  Wang has also incorporated the billowing ball room dress styles to her repertoire, which offers a balanced fusion to the more minimal styles. Yet, her trademark brew of dark and decadent evocation remains.
