Vera Wang gothic inspired sex appeal continues on, carving her niche from her unique take on bridal dresses to which she has been refining since 1989, Wang's backlog of high end clientèle is an impressive accomplishment.  As a skilled artesian who is also a shrewd costume designer – Wang has been acknowledged for her work in creating figure ice skating ensembles for Olympic competitors and in 2019 she was inducted into the U.S. Figure Skating Hall of Fame.  Truly a stalwart and masterful designer that over thirty years has held the line in developing both wedding gowns and ready-to-wear collections.

So it seems fitting that, under the COVID-19 pandemic, she has combined both her RTW collections with the couture inspired wedding attires, and like most designers who are now being squeezed  between seasons, in the sense that collections are either being scaled back awaiting the all clear for runway shows whilst combining seasonal lookbooks.  With new variants of the virus spreading throughout Europe and the US, fashion shows maybe on hold indefinitely pending the effectiveness of the vaccines, which have just been rolled out around the world.

Whatever the turmoil and the effect it has had on the industry, the more established fashion designers, such as Wang, are still pushing through their RTW styles for 2021 and her latest collection is evident of her dedicated focus, utilizing some of the finest seamstresses in America, the fusion of wedding gowns and RTW styles has paid of in a delicate balance.   Wang, who has always flirted with the lingerie and lace looks in all of its sultry appeal, has up the ante with her latest array.  While at the same time playing with bridal modesty whilst offering an amorous sensuality, there are slight avant-garde features throughout with tweaking and bunching up fabrics in intricate details.  Undoubtedly a professional lookbook, with Wang's fittings and styling showing her lustrous dark allure.

A stunning collection.
