GameStop fiasco: The markets of manipulation and their collective activism.

The Federal Reserve lifts rates to its 5% range. Offers no real guidance, market is beginning to show signs that all is not right. 3 Points that offer clues that stagflation has unintentionally been set alight by the Fed.

All major U.S. indexes are now in bear territory, oil rises on supply chain and capacity issues. The market is finally pricing in global stagflation. The U.K. crisis could turn into a contagion if U.K assets are dumped en masse, while the English government tries to spend to offset stagflation. 30 YR gilt is through the roof.

Circle's "USDC" stablecoin depegs from the U.S. Dollar, after the SVB collapse. Probably indicative of a liquidation of Crypto/stablecoin assets; no body knows the ratio value of its Collateralized backing. Which points to an entangled mess of IOU's. Just like 2008.

The market is, once again, mispricing the severity of Ukraine's invasion/war by Russia. Focusing on the Federal Reserve's small 0.25% cash rate rise due in March 2022.

Market jawbones on political laced commentary re: inflation denial. Based on fears of the Republican's/extreme right wing coming back via Mid Term elections for another swing.

Bitcoin collapses through its 60K support, as the Blackrock "put" appears breached, it is all about risk aversion and geopolitical. BTC is not a safe haven, and a larger deleveraging/liquidation of the speculative asset cannot be ruled out.

Recession on and Stagflation off 2022 trades have returned, as the market tries to gauge the Fed's next move. The likelihood of rates surpassing 5% in the U.S. is more of a reality than not, even if unemployment begins to tick up in 2023.

U.S. inflation prints below market expectations. NASDAQ and S&P close at record highs. Yet, the FEd's SEP report shows how concerned they are about inflation. Who is right, and who is wrong? The Greed train leads the way.

The Federal Reserve is very close to throwing in the towel (again), as it has done a minimal job in reigning in inflation. Its balance sheet remains at 8 Trillion. U.S. Dollar selling could turn into capitulation if all Central Banks begin one by one throwing in the towel. IS the hope on for a milder Northern Hemisphere winter re: peak inflation?

The Federal Reserve throws in the towel, triggers an expected rate 0.75% and downplays everything. Including a recession and stagflation, sends the USD down, oil rallies. Inflation back on.

Did Bank of England (BoE) and Bank of Japan (BoJ) combined market interventions at over $100 Billion cause distortions in the U.S. Dollar market?

Central Banks loss of control: Coffee prices spike. Indicative to looming hyper-inflation on foods?

Narrowing trades. Gloom on the horizon.

S&P 500 has failed above the 3692 support. Market selling may continue as inflation has become so imbedded into global economies, reflecting confused fiscal and monetary policies and its inability to grasp the seriousness of the problem.

Are Central Banks on an end year pause with rates hikes as they bounce around with Dovish and Hawkish rhetoric? Inflation could become hyperinflation in 2023 with Central Bank's lack of guidance to the market. The Fed's terminal rate should be at 9%

I will be doing regular readings of all my books from the last Ten years, in lieu of my new book "Coeval of the Hedonic" (A.Glass 2025) which needs to be settled for at least a month, before the readings will begin. Reading: "Machines of the Occultus" from the novel 'The Graft of Shadows" (A.Glass 2019)
