Terminator (1984) scene "Kyle Reece and Female soldier"
Whether Terminator was the defining film that projected Arnold Schwarzenegger into the cinema limelight is an irrelevance. The movie it's self is actually a very well crafted story of survival against a mechanical stalker from the future (Terminator) sent back to kill the mother (Sarah Connor) who will give birth to a warrior son (the father being Kyle Reece sent back in time to protect the mother). A romantic and heroic story of survival. Most probably Gale Anne Hurd's influence as a co-writer, showing women as warriors as a significant theme throughout the movie. With the main character Sarah Connor who plays a modern day Isis protecting her (an unborn version of Horus) son from Set, which is depicted as the machine called Skynet.
Above is one of my favorite scene/s from Terminator for a lot of reasons; the female and male warriors fighting side by side against a common foe, the amazing tracking shots (director James Cameron) and of course our love affair with retro new-wave synthesizer soundtrack/score.
