Bouchra Jarrar (haute couture). Paris - Spring 2013

I like Boucha Jarrar as a designer, she is sincere, but her creations have an infancy to them. She is dying to break out, feels restrained.  But there are flashes.  Paris spring 2013 fashion week somewhat released some pent up expression, you can understand the desire for most fashion designers to break into mainstream markets.  You gotta earn money.  But, zips, high collars and generic looks may not pay the day.  Still, her 2013 Spring range held some hope, strong defined looks, with jewelry styled accessories (pocket chains, chokers) ending with a collection of beautifully layered silk couture dresses.  Her color range, for this collection, went from the extreme spectrum of dark to light, which I found interesting.

Awaiting September 2013 fashion weeks, which I think are going to be killer.  Just feel that something new, something old, something to shock, all wrapped up in a refreshing pill that will induce a paradoxical collision.  Maybe, till then...
