DRIES VAN NOTEN - Autumn/Winter Menswear 2014/2015 (Paris)

Putting in some effort to captivate menswear, instead of masochistic leanings into banality.  Dries Van Noten delivers that captivation, removing the browns, grays and blacks (although clever designers can actually expand dull mottles) limited spectrum.  In this collection Van Noten squeezes in purples/blues, greens, yellows and at the same time bridging in hues; which in turn causes his designs to come alive while stilll maintaining the mysterious and obscure.  Slick, well crafted modern cuts, with trench coat jackets overlaying street styled looks.  Mature, sensible and clean patterns that meld into a dynamic appeal for this collection.
