On the eve of Haute Couture Fall 2019, Turkish designer Ece Ege of her brand Dice Kayek, has laid out a beautiful collection for the Resort 2020 showing.  Even though it may not be classified as couture as such, the textured richness and intricacy of her collection has set a new precedence for Resort.  Exquisitely feminine with subtle notes of sex appeal, which holds a respectful nod to Yve Saint Laurent's 1980s Rive Gauche bohemianism in all of its mystique.

Despite Ege offering a glimpse at her Turkish roots via emulating styles of the Dervish aesthetics, the collection is more in-line with the mastery of Saint Laurent's bridging of East and West styles from the 1960s through to the 1980s for Paris couture.  In saying this is very much a compliment of Ege's ability in relaying a style and precision that many designers have failed at over the years.  Dice Kayek as a brand that have ensured that they set the mainstay and original take on Eastern influences, in respect to their own heritage.

Kaftans, puffy sleeved blouses, showing Ege's impressive skills at crafting mostly silk materials.  Wide legged 60's style pants, sleek and defined as the couture bohemianism look is evident throughout. Miniskirts and high hemmed dresses, so the seductive elements are maintained with alluring habitue. Balenciaga-esque Gazar silk blends, which once again shows their appreciation to the early couturiers in their expertise in using the variants of silk to highlight form and shape.

An absolutely stunning collection
