Quote of the month - February 2013

You know, the idea of simulation, a thought, a dream, that we may be just a process of our dreams.  Made up and manifested in an unconscious state.  In which it is possible we are just illusionary, everything is, our world, our existence. Isn't a new idea or realization.  The French philosopher and mathematician René Descartes who lived in Holland at the time of the late 1500's and mid 1600's, thought that, in fact he almost drove himself insane with the idea that everything he senses could be intangible, within his own consciousness - his own unreality.

Yet at the point of a complete mental meltdown, he was able to reassure his human and mental perspective by using his own doubt.

“Dubito ergo cogito; cogito ergo sum.
(I doubt, therefore I think; I think therefore I am)”
