"I STARTED IMAGINING CLOTHES THE SAME WAY I STARTED CREATING IMAGES:
WITH A SENSE OF CURIOSITY AND INNOCENCE DRIVEN BY MY NO-BACKGROUND
BACKGROUND. NO SCHOOL. NO TEACHERS. NO TELLY. NO BOUNDARIES. NO
FORMATTING. I LIKE THE IDEA OF A WORLD THAT WE COULD LIVE AND SHAPE BY
OURSELVES, ONLY BY OBSERVING. EACH OUR OWN. MY CLOTHES HAVE ERUPTED FROM
THIS WORLD OF MINE. THEY ARE ASEXUAL, ASEASONAL, THEY COME FROM NO
PLACE, NO TIME, NO TRADITION, YET THEY COULD BE HOME ANYWHERE, ANYTIME.
THEY EXUDE A SENSE OF DISCREET CHIC, THE ESSENCE OF TIMELESS STYLE,
DRAWN ON A MONOCHROMATIC AND GRAPHICAL CANVAS. PALETTE OF BLACKS AND
SHADES OF TIMELESS COLORS. SOPHISTICATED UNISEX MODERN CLASSICS FOR
ANTI-CONFORMIST INDIVIDUALS." - Rad Hourani

I think the re-emergence of unisex clothing is testament to a style breaking through that has embed roots in futurism. The fashion designer Rad Hourani is distinct and original, similar to Rick Owens, where they are both laying down the bases for design in clothing for future concepts. But the point is, Fashion (again) is forcing a future idealism of aesthetics as opposed to a future that never was (technology). What I mean is, fashion, in a very sci fiction or futurism concept was always constant i.e correct. The sleekness, the androgynous, the clash of femininity and masculinity splashed upon a blank canvas; as opposed to the technological advances surrounding it, that, in most respect's are hit in miss i.e somethings were right, others not.
It's trying to determine, within culture, what is practical as a reflection of progression. I am very curious to see if fashion, which in someways wasn't a leader in future concepts (it was just complementary), is now leading. Pushing us forward, forcing us to see a future. That is scary, dark and mysterious. But needs to be faced.
