Wild Heart: A Life: Natalie Clifford Barney and the Decadence of Literary Paris (Suzanne Rodriguez)

There are two cities in the Western world that represent a quintessential decadence within the last one hundred years, that in someways has not ever been matched, the cities are Paris and Berlin.  Those same two cities also represent the tumultuousness of post excess.  But within that historic context of pre and post 20th century cultural significance -  there are some stories that shine through, they are the participants of decadence, one of my favorites is Natalie Barney.

She was the perfect rebel.
