Once more we are seeing this elegant futurist dystopianism solidifying within fashion. An interesting contradiction done with a modern, or as described a futurist slant, which will lead onto a sustained resonating effect within the boundaries of our culture.  As the Asian boom in luxury items is finishing, which means simply you cannot have goverments (overspending) stimulating economies (that is why Europe is in trouble), doesn't work.  After 2008 when we did get a global financial crises (whitewashed by archaic economic polices), the real future, a somewhat dark one is emerging.  I think this is being reflected in the fashion industry at this point in time.  Which is a very good thing, what saves us, is our understanding of predicaments, an acceptance.  Of course this is an aesthetic style of cultural reflection, that is the beauty of evocation.
