Ann Demeulemeester - Paris Fashion week Fall 2014

Ann Demeulemeester again proves that simplicity in design can show how superiority can be achieved.  Simple cuts, yet, precision, well set pieces in her trademark gothic and progressive range, a divine mix of the androgynous - a sex appeal the transcends gender.  That to me is a crescendo in fashion design, seldom reached by designers, who, if they do attain that moment are either commercially pulled back into line, or lose the enthusiasm.  Ann Demeulemeester still holds that crown.  Her Fall 2014 range with simplistic cuts, beautifully draped tops, leather leggings and boots - all worn effortlessly by the models (which adds to the appeal). Also note the mix between dull yellows (gold) and black.  As a color combination, you cannot go wrong with using a key color such as shades of black to a primary such as yellow.
