From the chiasmus archive: "Balenciaga" – Spring 2016" Posted: July 15, 2015 by CHIASMUS MAGAZINE BLOG
In lieu of Demna Gvasalia stepping down from Balenciaga, after ten years, with his last couture showing for the iconic fashion brand occuring on July 9th 2025. I will be posting all of my Balenciaga reviews of the last 10 years. Starting with Alexander Wang's last showing in 2015 before he left, and Demna took the reins. As you can see below, it was shot and sweet overview of Wang's last show. Written by me on July 15th, 2015.

There wasn’t much, in my opinion, that was salvageable from Spring 2016 menswear collections, most looked flat, uninspired and aimless. Balenciaga cuts to the point, I mean you might as well design, write, think and reflect on the sign of our times. Balenciaga’s combat style influenced clothing with it’s rigid and homogeneous structure ready for the Spring revolution/s.
