Simon Miller. Pre-Fall 2026 - Lookbook
Chelsea Hansford has tapped the mid to late 1960s vacation wears, with its modernist flow, which appear to be leaning more and more towards the hedonic seventies, also seen for her Pre-Fall 2026 collection. Showcasing her simplicity, and desire to maintain that seasonal presence for Simon Miller, which is uniquely Hansford's take on representing the late 1950s and 60s Los Angeles mod styles.
Inspired by Mexico, more so San Miguel de Allende's colonial Spanish esque architecture and the holiday destination for Americans, which is an expressive eye opener of the colonisation past from the Americas, and how Spanish it was, before the indigenous populations began to reclaim some of their culture identity back from the colonizers. Hansford's collection does indeed mix up the clash of local stylisations, and Spanish esque wears, with that Americas boho chic ala 'Tehuana' fashion.
Quoting for her latest collection, Hasford remarked, "People want to wear it with sexy skirts and high heels," as a backdated flow onto the epicurean of yesteryear, being that benchmark to what could be deemed rebellious style clothing in a time now where fashion, could be taking a backseat to activism. At least from a Gen Zs perspective, who are now all going into the mid to late 20s, and the corporate top down styles to the person on the street, might be less of a societal consumption as it was for Gen X and Y, who were hungry for manufactured trends.
Hasford latest collection in all of its sincerity, shows her ability to deliver an array which is not overtly consumer originated, nor trend desired. While maintaining her visual interest in the 60s and 70s amatory, with its liberated and mixed aesthetic base.
