"The Cenotaphs of human conquest" (Adrian Glass 2015)

The Cenotaphs of human conquest” 12x17” Framed enhanced photographic image printed  Gold Fibre Silk (Adrian Glass 2015)

This image holds a relevancy in creating an idea, that the “Cenotaph”, which may or may not be structural, would represent human conquest against the indifference of the natural world.  But also the indifference of the human condition which is at war with itself.  As we are capable of creating and destroying ourselves simultaneously.  The Cenotaphs of human conquest itself is therefor the metaphor, although, it could be devised as a structure built on a moon within our solar system.  Utilized as a statement to understand, that at this point in time, there is no other intelligent lifeforms  which exist in the Universe.   Despite our isolation we overcome and conquer those fears - of being alone.
