"9 of cups. Happiness" Thoth Tarot card: analysis and reading.

Possibly Aleister Crowley's, as he was bisexual, more homoerotic Thoth Tarot cards, revealed in an ambiguous way when discussing the card within the The Book of Thoth.  "The 9 of Cups. Happiness" astrologically with its Qabalah meanings, revolve around the flows of water, further connecting the card to the star sign Pisces and the Greek mortal Ganymede, both bidsexual/homosexual icons.  Pieces representing fluidity of one's sexual identity, and Ganymede, the beautiful prince of Troy, from The Book of Thoth: "the wine is poured by Ganymede himself, unstinted vintage of true nectar of the Gods, brimful and running over, an ordered banquet of delight, True Wisdom self-fulfilled in Perfect Happiness".  Also noted, is Crowley's interest in Middle Eastern geomancy patterns, with the arrangement of the cups set within a square, which represents the figure Laetitia, which means "joy" or "happiness".

"The 9 of Cups. Happiness" is about reconciling the identity of the self, in what ever sexual orientation that you choose.

Reading:

Ease your confusion with the flows of water, the fluidness of identity.  I am, what I am.  Do I need reflection?  My identity is mine, yet I am not at peace.  I desire happiness, to be part of, and to enjoy the company of the same.  Yet, inner turmoil stops me.  Why?  Have I sinned?  I have hurt no one, caused no one pain.  I just want to be filled with joy.  To enjoy the choice that I have made.  To rid myself of the shame, to live again.  And the beautiful Ganymede pours the wine for me, it flows down over the fountain, as the rainbow forms after the rain, and the sun begins to shine again.  My dark clouds lifted, my mind clear, to adore the beauty that surrounds.  No longer hidden behind the curtain, no more being afraid.  One day, I will step onto my balcony and smile.  Because I'll be free.
