Moncler have expanded their art/costume and clothing project from Moncler 7 to Moncler 12, an elaboration of ideas under the motif of the brand “Genius” Project.  If you are curious in regards to the background of the brand, it was founded in 1952 by Rene Ramillon.  Known for its heavy insulated jackets (down), hiking and sports apparel.  Named after the French alpine town Monestier-de-Clermont, however the brand is Italian owned, bought in 2003 by Italian Entrepreneur Remo Ruffini who is also the brand's creative director.

In the conglomerate world of fashion at this point in time, it is hard to discern if there is an expansion or contraction going on as a reflection the global economy, but one thing is for sure, most of the independent (known) designers have been bought up by the multinationals and/or ventures capitalists. With the liquidity providers, Central Banks, know solely for being stuck on lower interest rates and providing liquidity ad infinitum to retail banks.  It is the stock market that also sets a liquidity (money) trail on the pretense that flows are still worked back into company stocks (and out), so the public traded company like Moncler in combination with the ever expanding Ruffini's “Genius: Project”.  Moncler is adding new collaborations at a exasperated rate.

So, rather than go through the whole list of Moncler's 12 designers, I'll stick to the one that I have reviewed the most; the UK designer Craig Green.

Monlcer 5 set under the creative mind of Craig Green, for the Fall 2019 menswear collection. He maintains the continued interest in a protective sheath for his Moncler collaboration, the layering of design and outdoor practicality, that could also be deemed impractical, while at the same time enwrapped within the context of durability.  But, this is more of concept collection than anything else, showing Green's ability to meld and compress synthetic materials into compacted arrays.  As noted, the collection presented can also be stored away - via a zip system on the costume inspired outwear.  For what may ever may occur as a drastic or dramatic shift in either the economics or social dynamics.  The question is it in preparation for something? Which is probably already here.  Best to have  attire ready for the now to face the day, when suddenly the weather shifts from hot to cold in lock step with stock markets rising and falling wiping out billions.  Extra padding and protective material, as a once safe neighborhood becomes a mini war-zone. Explore the desolate zones of the city, where, high-rise apartment blocks, built shoddily via corruption and easy money.  Lay abandoned, after fires and structural decay set in. Now ghost towers, inhabited by no one.

The future is already here.
