Trump's global trade war begins. China imposes 35% tariffs on US imports. Maybe an all out trade war was inevitable, Trump just set it off. NASDAQ, Dow fall 5%, overall loses at 17%, 10% (3months) 3%, 10% shy of a bear market. No recession, payrolls still booming, stagflation looming. VIX close to 2020 pandemic levels.

Volatility index (VIX) spikes to its highest level in Three months, as Gold also edges towards record highs, but the U.S. Dollar sinks. US Services Sector (ISM) falls close to contraction territory in March 2025 at 50, with rising costs and surging layoffs/employment. What was hidden as embedded inflation (before Trump's tariffs), may start to reveal itself again as Stagflation.

The nasdaq crashes over 5% as Trump attempts to shutdown import markets to the U.S. may plunge the world into a stagflation recession, not a deflation 'recession'.

Do you want a $8.55 (U.S.) cup of coffee with your stagflation/Trump trade war with everyone economic chaos? Can't really just blame Trump's tariff madness (although a factor), climate change has everything to do with COffee prices going upward. A precursor to food prices.
