I will be doing regular readings of all my books from the last Ten years, in lieu of my new book "Coeval of the Hedonic" (A.Glass 2025) which needs to be settled for at least a month, before the readings will begin. Reading: "Machines of the Occultus" from the novel 'The Graft of Shadows" (A.Glass 2019)
“Well,
my background is an
investigative journalist, I worked for an online news
network, which the
viewers may or may not be
aware of
went
bankrupt. So, one of my roles
as a journalist was to cover
science
and astronomy reports
and also...” Lillias chuckles. “...the Paranormal phenomenon.”
“Contradictions,” the young male host says.
Lillias
nods with a smile. “Which
are healthy...In
this
discussion, hence my interest in combining the two with
my investigative research which ended up being the book, Spooky
mechanics of an entangled World
to see if there are parallels within the science of the paranormal,
more so ghosts and the connection to points in time, in the now,
which...I will be careful here...” Lillias leans back in her chair
folding her legs over, whilst placing her joined hands onto her left
knee. “...May or may not have a scientific or neurological
answer.”
“Hence,
the term Neuro-paranormal investigator.”
“Yes,
that is correct,” Lillias
replies.
“The
premise of the book, deals with history being stored as a cognitive
process. There
are
two chapters that
discuss
the importance
of
senses and
their role in Neuro-paranormal
investigations,
such as sight and sounds. Could you elaborate on those topics.”
“Sure,
but I also dedicated a whole chapter to scent and
smells. Known as Proustian
memory, named after the philosopher Proust would recall his aunt's
house from the
scent of tea-soaked madeleine.
Smells can induce vivid life memories. As an important aspect of
history stored within those four senses, which also includes the
sensation of taste. What is interesting about the psychological, as
far as reconnecting history within the senses, the
difficulty in writing that section of the book was trying to
determine which of the senses calibrated the most as a historic
perspective of what could be, say, an experience of past memories
that in turn lead to a visual projection of one’s personal
history.”
“Ghosts?”
“Possibly
they
a connection within
dormant memories of past recollections that become activated through
the senses, the mind, visually in some cases cannot determine in an
ocular perspective aspect of a phenomenon.”
The host
smiles as he checks over some of his notes. “Also
in the last chapter of the book you discuss, what could be the more
science fiction side of things, of Parallel
Universe or worlds merging with ours that may, in a speculative
sense, cause a ghostly apparition to
materialize.”
“Yes,
within that chapter the physicist Chris Lentas kindly assisted in
elaborating a theory in which he and other physicists
have proposed, and which
I feel holds a tantalizing idea, that we interact with Phantom
Universes, as they
move in and out of our Universe. This interaction within the wave
function of quantum physics, which says that a particle and wave
pattern can exist in multiple states at once, actually, within the
Phantom Universe it
occurs in its single state, but very briefly as it passes through our
reality. This gets a little complex, but I kept it as simple as I
could within that chapter, but imagine that shadows
of
photons are passing through us right now and we had a way of
capturing them. The theory suggestion that we could reveal the light
from that other Universe. And we, as living beings even when we
are dead, emit the photon energy.”
“Light
from another Universe?”
“Yes, as a ghostly
apparition for a brief moment in time as we move through that
Universe and they move through us. Imprints or apparitions
of the past
and present
merging into a single point in time.”
