"I have to be on duty, early tomorrow morning..."
Alexia's expression is one of disappointment.
"...Sorry, didn't expect..."
"Sure..." Alexia replies, shaking her head.
Bergen exhales as he places his briefs on, then trousers. Alexia's demeanor turns sombre, as she walks into the en suit bathroom, about to shut the door when Bergen walks up to where she is standing.
"I also wanted to have a talk tonight."
"About what?" She replies in angry manner.
"A patient was admitted a few nights back. Arrived at emergency, we thought it was brain trauma. Possibly an issue there somewhere, but nothing came up on the CT."
"So?" Alexia replies curtly.
"Thought you may like the referral?"
"What's wrong with her?"
"She may need psychological assistance?"
Alexia reaches across with her left hand to close the bathroom door. "Your psychiatric unit should be suffice."
"I want you to make the diagnoses, the hospital will pay for the referral. I just thought of you..."
Alexia nods, her manner stern. "Ok, send me the referral and the appointment time. I'm Two Hundred an hour."
"I'll send it through tomorrow," he replies, as Alexia closes her bathroom door.

Early the next morning Jess Alexia awakes, looking up at the ceiling as an extremely vivid dream begins to fade from her memory. This usually happens after sex, orgasm and the various neurological drugs that she takes. Yet, they are becoming more frequent. She looks across at the bedside clock, seeing that it is Six Thirty.
After fifteen minutes of exercise, she showers, dresses in a somewhat modest attire, black leather leggings and a short sleeve satin-back crepe blouse in dark navy. Complimenting her outfit with a pair of mauve colored high heels. She ties her hair back into a pony tail. Walking to where her handbag is, which has sitting on a small hip high table near her front door. She lifts out her phone, checking for message she sees an email from Doctor Carl Bergen.

Hi Jess,
Referral is attached for your records. Hospital has agreed, under my instructions. Please sign in at reception and I will come down and take you up to the ward. The patient went back into a coma last night. And has since come out of the coma state. She is lucid.

Alexia places the phone back into her handbag, closing her eyes and takes a deep breath, holding it for a few seconds. She then exhales.
