"8 of wands. Swiftness." and "6 of disks. success" THOTH TAROT CARD: READING/s. These cards were pulled as a double reading. The Order of the reading is from left to right.
8 of Wands "Swiftness" Thoth Tarot card, is one Aleister Crowley's (d1947) less rambling and more logical Thoth cards, offering his interest, mixed with mythology, of science and physics. And from 'The Book of Thoth', he offers a concise and direct meaning to the card. The reading below is my own reading.
Reading:
Title the card sideways, just for a moment, see the number 8 become the symbol of infinity. The universe is infinite, you are not, but your spirit, it will travel for eternity as photons. As light. 8 of Wands represents fire, under the sign of Sagittarius. The advantageous spirit, whose boundless energy, is to explore. For they are the light bearers. Free to travel in all cardinal points, yet centred at the middle of the polyhedron, fused as two. Meditate on its centre. This will ground the wandering thoughts, the chaos that surrounds. You cannot be affected, unless you wish to be swept up in turmoil of the existence. Do you? Mercury rules the card, but is not blunt in its impression, as the 'Chokmah' (חָכְמָה), the rainbow above, embraces all cultures, beliefs, creeds, desires and all needs. Be what you want, be free. Enjoy the wisdom of life, and let it flow through. But, do not grip onto it. As energy is never static, it must pass through. Use this to motivate, to become all and to become nothing.

"6 of Disks. Success"
One of Aleister Crowley's more concise and esoteric cards, detailing his fondness for astrology and Jewish Qabalah, or at least the hermetism borrowed version aka "The Tree of Life". Also noted with the card, is his interest in number symbolism, starting with 6, being the Tiphareth from the Tree of Life, which represents "beauty, harmony and balance", which was probably borrowed from Greek mythology of the goddess Venus, as the number 6 also equates to the same sentiment of being harmonious. The card is peaceful and serene, with the Hexagram being the centre with the Sun rising, the colors of the card are suppose to represent Dawn, the new day. Hence the "6 of Disks. Success" is a positive card, Crowley also shows that the Moon is in Taurus, in astrology speak means, "Moon's exaltation". With a rose in the middle, being of 49 rose petals, and from Jewish lore, 49 is the limit of human understanding, 50 a divine gift from god. So, all is calm and well within this card.
Reading:
The Sun rises in the East, that's all that matters. A new day, and new dawn, one of many, but the first in its realization. There maybe no other. Rejoice in it, with a calm resolve. The Moon is exalted, as it gently bears down on us all, it has seen the rise and fall of empires, civilizations and turmoil on this pale blue dot. We are a fragment in time, nothing. You are nothing. So smile, for the number six is perfect, a number pure for mediation, as is the colours of the card, representing the new dawn, new life, to be reborn in one day is enough. 49 rose petals maybe the limit of our knowledge, and 50 out of our reach. So be it, I did what I had to do, for me, for my spirit, so it may be released in peace.
