"7 of cups. debauch", "iv. the emperor", " 4 of disks. power" THOTH TAROT CARD READING/s. These cards were pulled as a triple reading. The Order of the reading is from left to right.

 7 of Cups "Debauch" is one of Aleister Crowley's (d1947) more Gnostic Christian, alchemist and astrological influenced Thoth Tarot cards.  And according to The Book of Thoth, the card represents Venus in Scorpio, which Crowley equates with bad luck and "lack of balance".  He further relates this to the planet Venus, as seen in Hermetic alchemy as the Planet of Copper that is "external splendour and internal corruption", which sounds like a quote from Christian Theology and historians supporting the Fall of the Roman Empire.  The Seven Lotus flowers are inverted to become Tiger Lilies, which emit a green slime, rather than water, which may symbolise the inversion of the card to be a negative reading.  Crowley also refers to the Six decaying looking Lotus flowers, above the larger Seventh, borrowing from the Book of Revelation that they reveal a "Sacrament may be profaned and prostituted".  In conclusion, the 7 of Cups "Debauch" overall meaning is losing touch with the Kether, and in Jewish mysticism relates to the supreme of the 10 Sefirot, that being One equalling itself as "Ehyeh Asher Ehyeh" (I am That I Am) or a God like ambience.   That if you lose touch with the holiest mysteries of the omnipotent, you will evoke the obscene. 

Reading:

Do not overread the numbers Six and Seven, for they are just numbers, or both of the Prime and Composite, as we are born of the Six.  The legs, arms, head and body.  We are not born under rule, we are born to be free, and yet the child is born with an open mind.  It does not see Debauch as wrong, nor does it see a weed any different than a flower.  The 7 of Cups "Debauch" may represent Venus, the Morning Star, the brightest and most illuminated Star of the Seven planets.  So, marvel at its defiance, as it brightness that evokes Freedom, yet it is so hostile, a poisonous planet.  The Second closest planet to the Sun, which is both the creator and destroyer of life. Meditate on decay, before you know life, live Debauchery before Purity.  Be imperfect, and be flawed.  Redeem oneself, and be reborn.  Know yourself, and live under no rule.  And if it is, "I am That I Am", may indeed see the corruption, of its creation gone astray.

As noted with Aleister Crowley's "Knight of Disks" Tarot reading, displaying Crowley's interest in Right Wing power, be it the technological prowess of the 1900s.  Which was advancements in warfare.  Unfortunately, the Age of Enlightenment was a period in time that humanity began to believe that technology would set us free, and science and knowledge holds all the answers to progression.   Of course, this has also lead to a distortion within the sciences, to justify superiority i.e, Fascism, and imperialism fueled global conflicts.  That human desire to be overly structured and controlled.   Crowley was not a counterculture figure, nor any revolutionary persona, his passing in 1947 left us with his Thelema religion, which was Crowley's legacy, that attracted some of the Beatniks, and artists of the 1950s.  And his most famous adherent was Jack Parsons, a rocket engineer who accidently blew himself up 1952.  Crowley's drug induced mishmash of Freemasonry, Western esoteric and Eastern mythology, was more aligned with proto-fascist overtures than not.  Yet, this was before the 1960s counterculture movements, and sexual liberation hedonism of the 1970s and early 1980s, where the male dominated societies of yesteryear took a backseat, and ceremonial occultism was left in the history books.  Witchcraft, and Satanism (even with its theatrics) of the said eras, offered a creative outlet of an understanding of the feminine away from the oppression of the theocratic, and its ceremonial imprint of the importance of equality, and of course peace.  Crowley, despite his importance in Occultist studies, was very much a product of his time.

Reading:

Be wary of the structured male, as he is warring in nature and controlling in desire.  This is not the masculine, like the feminine they are beyond the material world.  And even though you are nothing, the feminine and masculine combined offer guidance to the material world.  Yet, the Emperor in all his arrogance sits upon his throne, and lays claim to authority.  That he knows best, yet he is no master.  Otherwise he would have turned his back on you, to learn the path is to know the self.  I have no answers.  And when he holds the material world as an object, under an arrogance of superiority, offering structure and control.  It will be at your peril.  Do you fear nature?  You shouldn't, yet the Emperor does and denies that we could be annihilated by nature, thus it is his fearful emotion that is destructive by his folly, rather than create and learn from nature.  He wishes to tame the wild beasts, the card explains the theory of being governed.  See the Two Rams either side, with the lamb below holding the flag.  The male, when deluded by his own stupor believes that he can control the unruly feminine.  She is not, but the flame of existence, she knew chaos, as the feminine lives peacefully within the chaotic world.  He, fears this.  Be it that meditation, without the material body is control of the self and acceptance of a chaotic nature.  So I say again, be wary of the "Tzaddi", the righteous one, be wary of the governing male, be wary of the leader, be wary of the authority of man.  Be wary of the one that offers peace, through war.  As his conspiracies of superiority, will be revealed in his madness.  You may reverse the card if you wish, and turn the Emperor into a pitiful mortal.  If you choose to reject structure and control, and embrace the chaotic energy, you will embrace peace.  Because you will have no fear.  And the power of the self, despite it being fleeting, is rejection of his governing world.  As self destruction, is its end.

"4 of disks.  Power" is another one, of so many, Proto-Fascist Thoth Tarot cards.  And as mentioned in my numerous analysis of the late British occultist, Aleister Crowley (d1947) was a product of his time, that thankfully was reshaped, restructured and done away with when the late 1950s, 1960s, 1970s including the 1980s (Yes, with the 'Satanic Panic' in tow) that held back any conservative inkling of desire for Fascist stability, which swept the world in 1920 via Benito Mussolini, landing with the horrificness of 1930s, 1940s Adolph Hitler's Nazi Germany, but politically festering underneath the years after World War Two, that it could actually work, if conducted in a different way (?), and yes, to have the trains run on time, while looking nice and clean and modern, just don't question it they don't actually run on time and are dirty (and broken),  Sound familiar?  Well it is, Fascism has returned with gusto, via President Donald Trump 2.0, who was voted in again, mostly assisted by podcast conspiracy theorists and a crazy Billionaire, as an unelected advisor to Trump, who controls America's space program, accentuating that desire, maybe in all of us, to have stability over change.  So, equality movements, environmental/human/animal concerns, the freedom to choose any sexual orientation you wish, believe in any spiritual path you wish, everything that the said counterculture years gave to us, has been wiped off the face of the map. One must ask the existential question here; Who's is really to blame?

"4 of disks.  Power" is a very cursed card, I will do my best in redefining its meaning and relevance.

This is a cursed card.  And we must meditate on its flawed foundation.  Power is restriction, suppression and compression.  It will end up destroying itself via destroying its own self importance, this only happens within humanity, not of the natural system.  When we go, nature will remain and absorb our human folly and biology, without a care of our existence, back into what is the true 'power'.  The jungles, forests, deserts will consume us, our structure of grandeur buried as a memory of error, those archeological relics of a self destructive entity, rare in the cosmos.  The image you see is of a square fortress, with a watery moat that surrounds, on each of the four towers is the sacred symbols of nature. from left to right: Water (inverted pyramid) Fire, Air (pyramid and pyramid with horizontal line within it), and the finally, Earth, the inverted pyramid with its horizontal line.  Human fanaticism to control nature though power.  So, be wary of power, open the mind, the free and less powerful are the most powerful, be it, their act of enduring life.  Faith in structure, and you will collapse with it.   Meld with nature, and be part of nature.  The human being that embraces conquering nature, looks weak and defeated, and is dying from its own confusion and self annihilation.  We must curse the "4 of disks.  Power" and flip the card over, so it faces the Earth, South of the Heavens.  And give praise to the spirit of wind, it will beautifully erode all arrogance.  For  the leader who is obsessed with power, will face death.
