A.Glass updates and insight (update 51)
Well, August passed with the our 'Nobel Peace Prize' recipient President Barack Obama heading straight into a major conflict between powers (namely Russia) on a UN 'assessment' that chemical weapons (Sarin Gas) was used by Assad's regime. Within the context of a horrific civil war in Syria, the use of chemical weapons should be treated as a criminal investigation rather than an excuse for military strikes by America against Syria. Not much could be said about America's intervention record, which sits in an hypocritical and appalling state of affairs, leaving some of the recent African civil wars and genocide off the table, moving on Libya so the oil/gas can flow into Europe. The Syrian conflict is more so to do with strategic power plays, with the West/ American meddling in the Sunni/Shia (two opposing Muslim religion groups) powder keg, which, if Obama does allow 'limited strikes', will set it off. The main opposites being Iran (Shia) and Saudi Arabia (Sunni), both oil exporters, with Saudi Arabia (who backed the murderers responsible for 9/11) aligning it's self with America and Iran with Syria which is protected by Russia, with China watching Iran's back. Nice mix huh?
