Not much to overly salvage, as far as the obvious or plain, with Spring 2014 New York Fashion week (so far).  There is the inundation but limited range of pastel colors, white, some pink, high neck collars, mini skirts and attempts at masculine/feminine stylized crossover.  Admittedly these are Spring collections with light on fabrics, but therein lies a distinct trend in the color spectrum with the Spring 2014 fashion weeks (of 2013), that being the white to black contrasts noted from Paris Spring fashion week 2014.

There is no doubt Yohji Yamamoto is a master, using the white to black canvas as a base for other colors - even if it is a Spring range, traditional and ubiquitous pastel colors can be mixed into a distinct style.  This is innovation in creating pieces for every season.  So, for Y3 Spring 2014 we get black, white and tie dye, mixes of blue (compliments dark to black colors well very), layered and draped clothing which is, if designers are leaning that way, helps define a androgynous, unisex look.  His trade mark style draped skirts, beautifully feminine.  Very creative use of camo-patterns, more so symmetrical style shapes  A mature street style look with fitted clothing, which is essential.  Y3 is ready to wear, as most of New York Spring Fashion week is, in which Yamamoto is able to bridge function, style and rebellion intro the Adidas range - with his darkened futurist look fused onto a 1960's counter-culture radiance.
