from the chiasmus archive: July 16th 2013 "ALEX WANG SPRING 2014 MENSWEAR - PARIS FASHION WEEK JUNE/JULY 2013". (My review from 10 years ago)

 

Symmetrical style patterns along with futurist cut/designs, in which Alex Wang touches upon the street-wear style, that I generally don't like, but he adds a maturity to it.  Again we see white shoes (Spring 2014 trend - men) and if you have an aversion to that trend, it is warranted on the mere fact they get dirty easily - and white is a blank canvas, from a minimalistic observation it also reflects a degree of laziness in creativity.  Dull yellow colors like the Stil de grain yellow works so well against dark shades of gray and black. 

Alex Wang, along with Rick Owens, Damir Doma and Ermenegildo Zegna were some of the standouts (also note solid collections from Balmain, Dries Van Noten).

 All the major fashion weeks are now over (men's haute couture and ready to wear), now in waiting for the September 2013 fashion weeks (women) - starting with London.  I haven't seen the schedule by I am hoping Gary Pugh kills it.
