Reading: "Born fatale is the Femme" from the novel THE PRAXIS CONTINUUM (A.Glass 2018)

"I passed out after that, can't remember much...So, a news report of the hospital asking the good Samaritans to come forward who assisted an injured wanted criminal..." Kurt Schneider laughs. "...What they don't know huh?"

"Because she doesn't exist"

Schneider smiles. "That's right, very difficult to correlate. So I took it on the chin, had too. I didn't want to die, so I was arrested in hospital. Police had it down as a sole heist that went wrong, double crossed by another criminal syndicate. Hence the body count. Streets will be quite for awhile, then the whole thing begins again."

"The first hit was on my client, I suspect anyone else who was loosely connected with this would have been next."

"That would be correct," Schneider replies, as Forster stands.

"Thank you Kurt, I appreciate you seeing me."

"Did you ever read John Milton's Paradise Lost...The epic poem."

"No, I haven't"

"That one line that Lucifer says, "Better to reign in Hell, than serve in Heaven..." Schneider points to his head with his prosthetic hand "...She doesn't want to be saved. Remember that. Take care Mr Forster."

The prison guard opens the door, standing at the entrance allowing Forster to leave.
