moodboard: Article by Ben Bova, who I have never heard of before, of the National Space Institute which appeared in Penthouse Magazine January 1985, advocating for Ronald Reagan's 'star wars' defense satellites for 'peace'. Very much attune to the Reagan years of 'Peace through strength', of Reagan's "Strategic Defense Initiative" space based defense system. The project never saw the light of day, as the Cold war, at the time, began its end. And the costs for the SDI went close to $1 Trillion. 40 years later, we have Donald Trump, and a new nuke arms race, in all of it's timeline similarity decreeing that he too would like to build a massive defense missile shield for all of America.
