Could China's 2022 COVID crisis morph into a COVID pandemic part two? China's immunity rates have fallen and may need vast immunization programs again to offset the COVID variants. 2020 redux?

China's is currently widespread with infections of the COVID variants.  Despite the West actually leading infection rates, with our policies of no restrictions, in light of the virus will live with us now or the more common "living with the virus" (despite the potentiality that it could kill you), even though a virus is not a living organism, but a borrower of life.  It was the vaccines at 3 doses and booster shot/s that brought the West to that point of managing outbreaks, albeit behind the curve as opposed to Flu outbreaks.  As COVID doesn't follow seasonal patterns, but rather it becomes a problem when the virus mutates and evades immunity from the 4 doses of vaccines.   Of course this is on hope that the mRNA vaccines that the West developed have brought up antibody responses that, for healthy individuals, despite the variants, you would only get mildly sick sans 'long' COVID that will continued to strike despite being vaccinated.  Undeniably COVID is a nasty virus.

With what began in China in 2019 when the virus was detected nd spread to which the West took a beating from COVID before the vaccines were developed in 2020, the fast tracking and race to create a vaccine was asymmetrical and frantic.  All to restore economic activity and compete with other county's, the propaganda machine of China claimed that their Sinopharm and CoronaVac, which were some of the first vaccines trialed in 2020, along with Russia's Sputnik.    The WHO approved of the widespread use of Sinopharm and CoronaVac as the two emergency vaccines for poorer county's (Please refer to Chart 1 above), yet Sinopharm and CoronaVac were developed from inactive COVID virus as  opposed to the synthetic mRNA COVID template, the inactive virus showed to be less effective over a period of time compared to the mRNA, which had a higher % rate of immunity.

The issue now facing the world with the continued COVID pandemic is that China is now facing a COVID crisis on the back of waning immunity from their own produced vaccines and a population that could face a returned wave COVID infection that could set off a 2nd pandemic, in the sense what the West went through in 2020 and 2021, leading into 2021 after the high % of its population received mRNA vaccines, even though we are all begin to wane in immunity, China would need to begin massive immunization programs with the mRNA vaccines combined with their unpopular lockdowns.  So, their hospital system can cope and the vulnerable are not thrown to the wolves.  A balancing act that the West, so far has not shown to be that role model, more so if the Chinese economy takes a massive hit  (in similarity, but worst to 2020), so will we.   Indebted Western governments and spending programs for medical services and long covid could cease completely.
