"She checks her email for any new messages, more importantly her clientèle list through the customized Customer Relationship Management system, ensuing that the VIP invites have been sent out for the boutique's opening. Leaning back onto her turmeric colored large flax linen pillow cases, with her legs slightly spread she keeps the laptop propped up onto her thighs, eyeing the three dimensional interior footage of her boutique as seen on the website. It's stark, modernist interior, with racks of clothes placed around the edges of the space, she checks over the stylized ornaments, with mostly sculptured art pieces set within various positions around the boutique floor. “Looks good,” Adalyn says to herself, satisfied with her own interior design, from the last year of buying unusual and interesting accessories for the boutique, she then peers, through the dimmed light of her room at the Storm Glass she purchased a week ago, sitting among other interesting items that range from rudimentary scientific curiosities to the Occult and it associated mysticism. Noting that the crystals inside the storm glass have changed, as a mild wind is felt from behind where Adalyn is sitting, lifting up the curtains. Looking up at the window frame with the various trinkets that hang down from the curtain pole, beginning to move about, more so the larger sigil medallion, as it, in an idyllic sounding way, chimes against the other objects. “The Santa Ana winds”. Leaning back onto her futon, she closes the laptop. The chimes continues to rhythmically clang, as the warm breeze begins to pacify. “So much turmoil…” Placing the laptop aside, Adalyn, folding her legs into a half lotus position, closes her eyes. Maintaining that prolonged desire she had earlier when she was talking to her friend, she stares blankly ahead at the darkened wall in front of her. “...Sex and Death.” Despite an overwhelming tiredness, she begins to control her breathing, slowly inhaling and exhaling through her nose. Adalyn meditates before going to sleep."
