While the trend that has emerged from most of the Pre-Fall 2018 collections has been one of 1960s and 1970s rehash, which, from what I have seen has been a more of frumpy, long hemlines (ankle sweepers) and in most cases and uncreative attempt at homaging past styles for ideas.  Peter Dundas designer of Dundas, has sourced the late 1970s for inspiration, just before we entered (back in time) into the 1980s.

So, as far as the trends of Pre-Fall being the 70s as 2018 bears down on us all.  Dundas has been able to rework the glamorous (as opposed to the dreary and plain ‘flower power’ drapes styles) that was the late 1970s.  Not overly distinct in its collection, as a designer recreating glamorous disco styles of yesteryear, you would be falling under the already established banner of Paco Rabanne, more specifically his Ready-to-Wear Spring 2018 collection.

Dundas has offered a broad Pre-Fall collection, bringing in the suit blazer styles which was one of the main trends for 2017 mixed with sexed up disco glamor and flowing hippie style skirts.  But rather than dull washed out tones, Dundas has pushed forth some vibrancy with blues and yellows, and dashes of red (cherry patterns) and pink.  Sliding, very briefly,  into the early 1980s ‘New Romantic’ styles with Velvet tops and striking gold laced embroidery, skin tight wool pants.  Sequence cocktail dresses, with high thigh splits.  Timeless in its sex appeal.  Dundas has also added the mystique and nonchalant of Lace, also noted in its timelessness style, which does look like a continued trend into 2018.
