Quote: "Satran Kaevon" (A.Glass 2017)
"That is correct, but the idea is based around what appears as ever lasting, no matter how, like I said, short lived that maybe, a conservative ritual, based within religious doctrine. Which, as I mentioned, traditional marriage will always appear more stable against rebellious aspects of lifestyle choices, yet it is the rebellion that brings the personality into new dynamics. Challenges the norm..." She looks outside at the dark skyline of the city at night. Feldstein turns to her friend smiling. "...But for a lot of people, that is too hard. They would rather be accepting of tradition then questioning it. However there is a flip-side from both points of view, the person that may embrace aspects of a rebellious lifestyle, may also need to accept at times the traditional aspect too. It's a balance, but it will save one from being bitter," Feldstein says, as she walks toward her small kitchen area.
Ainslee holds up her right hand. "I'm not bitter!" She replies with smile.
Feldstein walks back to her couch with two more cosmopolitan cocktails, handing a glass to Ainslee, she then sits opposite her friend.
"So what's on the agenda in Washington?" Feldstein asks, as she sips from the margarita glass which holds the pink alcoholic fluid.
"Fucking North Korea launched another ICBM, this one could reach Los Angeles. This new President..." She leans down and lifts the cocktail also taking a sip. "...It's not a matter of appearing weak or strong, in the sense of pandering to China with our diplomacy, it is a matter of strictly forcing sanctions on China, as they're the main geopolitical problem at the moment. Financing and supporting the North Korean missile program. An insidious country in someways..." Ainslee places the glass onto the small metallic coaster that sits on Feldstein's coffee table. "...Terrible economic and geopolitical policy, allowing China to buy as much of our debt, property and investments all the while they have taken huge chucks of the South China Sea. We have become weak Caitlin," Ainslee says to her friend, while lifting the glass and taking another large sip of the strong vodka infused cocktail.
"Subject change!" Feldstein lifts her left hand, while sipping from her drink.
"To what?" Ainslee replies smiling.
"What do you think?"
Ainslee lies back into the couch, she looks at her friend with a cheeky smile. "It was an amazing night...I mean without being to crude..." She says looking around Feldstein's small apartment.
"Well there is nobody else, just you and me...and it ain't bugged! So need to be paranoid."
"Ha! A psychologist joke!" Ainslee replies, smiling as she bends down, lifts her drink taking a smaller sip, she then places it down. "Ok, explicit it is..."
Feldstein smiles as she places her drink down onto her coffee table. "I'm all ears."
