Chinese COVID 'bomb' has been dropped. Estimation are at over a million cases per day, with daily death rate of 9000. The U.S., Japan and Italy have imposed COVID testing on arriving Chinese tourists, as the main variant spreading throughout China is BF.7

Despite the human race able to coordinate itself in a mad rushed way with its desire for consumption and greed, it has failed miserably in its coordination with the COVID pandemic, which is still on going.  In fact with China dropping a COVID 'bomb' on the world, as it bizarrely went from extreme lockdowns after two years to all-out-open economy in less than a month.  The estimation of the viral outbreak is of daily infections to be at 1.8 million with 9 thousand deaths per day, all the while Chinese officials are following the West's rulebook of 'its all clear now, you all reached 90% immunity rates', taking the "living with the virus" to extremities by not reporting anything COVID related, all the while the country is being decimated by a micro organism.

The issue is the waning immunization of Chinese citizens with vaccines that on the whole, compared to the mRNA vaccine, are less effective, elderly population that did not receive a third or forth booster shots.  And creeping misinformation that is leading to vaccine hesitancy of a younger generation.   Will potentially lead to vaccine resistant mutations.  Hence America, Italy and Japan will require Chinese arrivals to provide a negative Covid-19 test.

The Omicron subvariant that is spreading throughout China is BF.7, having personally caught the XBB variant in October 2022 after three shots plus a booster.   The experience wasn't pleasant, as noted here in this post.  If does mutate very quickly, we may all find ourselves back to square one, which would mean that at least the West should bring back public PCR testing to track the newer variants.

We do not live with the virus, the virus lives (f you want to be philosophical, is actually an undead entity) within us and in the process of its evolution can end up killing us.  It does not care about economies, boarders or greed, yet thrives off human folly.
