ARKTALUS CORRECTIONAL FACILITY

High Security Sector (HSS)

Sub-level Sixty Six.

Master Zelac enters a larger room, to which a man in his early Fifties, dressed in a dark blue pants and shirt, sits at a chair. His hands and feet are clamped in place, ankles strapped against the chair legs, as are his wrists, which are pinned down by metal clasps. The dim light of the room illuminates his features as he looks up at Master Zelac, walking towards another chair that is sitting opposite the man.

“Master Zelac. Good to see you.”

“Likewise Professor Eptson”

“Yes, it has been awhile,” the man known as Professor Eptson replies, who is strapped to a metallic chair. Zelac sits down opposite the Professor.

“You may release the wrist restraints,” Zelac requests, looking up at the camera that monitors the two men sitting opposite each other. In an automated way, the shackles are released. Professor Eptson unperturbed, looks down at his arms which are now unrestrained, lifting them, he calmly grasps each hand, intertwined with his fingers, resting them onto his lap.

“A vulnerability is what one feels when your arms are restrained...” He looks at the Dius Master sitting in front of him. “...It can appear, as a visual gesture, to be too open, too welcoming.”

Zelac nods, whilst looking into the eyes of the Professor, who does not blink staring at Zelac.

“I have brought you a new paper,” Master Zelac leans down and lifts the document bag, opening it up, with his right hand he takes out a document. Placing the sachet against the chair. He looks up at the cameras above.

“Permission to hand a document to Professor Eptson,”

“Permission granted visitor HSS2879. Be warned once you leave your designated seating, auto-tasser armaments will be trained on Prisoner HSS676”

“Aware and noted,” Master Zelac replies, as he stands two red dots appear on Professor Eptson, one at the right side of his neck where the Vagus nerve is located, the other aimed at the Professor's Femoral nerve, situated at the top of his upper thigh, he eyes, in a calm manner, Master Zelac as he approaches him with the documents, handing the collated pages to the Professor who takes them with his left hand. Zelac walks back to his seat, sitting down, as the two red dots aimed at the Professor disappear.

“They fixed my eyes...” Professor Eptson says, without looking at the Dius Master sitting opposite him, he then looks at Zelac with a smile. “...I guess it was the least they could do, considering my circumstances…”
