Moodboard: "Late Night With The Devil" (2024) AI art image/s.
There isn't really any Artificial Intelligence art controversy here for the just released "Late Night With The Devil", any more or less than the creative direction being sloppy, maybe because of deadline constraints, the Director's (Cameron and Colin Cairnes) used three images of AI generated art for the in-between ad breaks in its parodic depiction of a 1977 talk show, as it descends into chaos and demonic possession. I haven't seen the movie but I'm not really interested, except to say that the 1970s decor with its washed out tones looks cool.
The above image is one of the AI generated pics, and yes as a purveyor of AI art, if you have been following all my AI artwork to date, please refer to this link, you would know that so called AI generated art is surreal in an unintentionally manner. Unless you are able to tweak AI's surrealty, in what can be bemusing or even clever in an effort to devise, and exploit the trippiness of the AI art generator. You'll end up with warped hands and mangled looking faces, with weird nonsensical shapes in the background (amongst other odd elements). The above image of a warped looking skeleton (note the hands and skull) dancing between distorted looking Halloween pumpkin heads, is from "The late Night With The Devil" movie of what is supposedly a 1977 production. Clearly, it is 2023/2024 AI art.
Like I said, just sloppy.
Maybe, I might view the movie one day.
Maybe AI is possessed.
