For Spring 2020, Anna-Christin Haas and Sola Harrison creative directors for Galvan, maintain their stylized fluidity and luxurious evening wear for the London brand.  Very indicative of their imprinted styles, that for all its intended purposes offer a sample of post 1950s, where cocktail parties reigned and women's fashion, for the night occasion, became more orientated towards the shimmering lurex slip style, more so the cuts and fabric where designed to hug and accentuate curves.  Holding true to that fixture of the alluring gown, even if it borrows heavily from an era of excess, before the 1960s when it was mostly mini skirts and bohemian styles which over took fashion for awhile.  The collection for their Ready-to-Wear lookbook, reminds me of the prolific 20th Century pop-culture illustrator; Robert McGinnis, who single handedly drew countless pulp fiction front covers, movies posters from the late 1950s, throughout the 60's, 70's and 80's. Recognized as one of the most talented of the James Bond movie poster artists, his more publicized work was the iconic “Breakfast and Tiffany's” (1961) cinema poster.  So, the sex appeal, even if it is a nostalgic trip of 1960's cocktail parties, movie posters and pulp fiction, in light of extramarital affairs and scandals that may only resonate today in a dramatized version, has attracted a slew of A-listed Hollywood celebrates who have been seen wearing Galvan's outfits.

Christan Hass and Harrison have kept their Spring 2020 styles within the Galvan's identifying range, not deviating too much from their brands mandate, so from slip dresses through to sheath styles, all galvanizing with desire, thus keeping the brand's seductive aspects alive.  Particularly with the asymmetrical dinner dresses and tight fitting jump suits, ensuring that for the overall collection of glitter and attraction shine through.  This is evening wear which has been mastered cleverly by the two designers.
