Moodboard: I just finished watching the "Animatrix" (2010) 'animation' series, which were more or less prequels and explanation stories to the Matrix franchise. The Animatrix is actually good, short animation clips with detailed stories. "A detective story" was one of the standouts. Below, is a short clip from the animation.
